In spirit of the Phrase of the Day and Theme, he asked the floor to

Lastly he wished to single out a special individual who deserves to be recognized.

A Speech saved for a rainy day. It was hazy, so that'll work.

Speech dedicated to the Club's out-going Lecturer Advisor.

It’s hard to think, that one man’s action can bring us all here together today.

As we all know, Rome was not built in a day, nor was it built by only one person. From the roads, settlers or even its heritage. The Toastmaster experience is a supportive learning environment for everyone. But how easily is it we forget how the foundation was set, in the first place. Since 2010, chartering of this club involved sacrifices from many. Along came one man who led by example and believed in this project. A project many thought was not worth the trouble and should be abandoned. This person is Mr CK.

Mr CK made many contributions to us. As a University lecturer he promoted the club to his classes boosting our membership. Also, he is personally a very helpful character and our on-going pillar of guidance. Lastly, he has always been a strong support of the Club as if it was he's own. He consistently attend meetings and volunteer himself as a service.

Today, the club operates entering its 4th Term on the sacrifices & dedication, made by the Charter Team, supervised by this gentleman. The club believe he deserves this award today because he is responsible for igniting the spark and planting the seeds necessary for our club to grow.
To Mr Fan Chen Keat, you have done so much for the club; your exemplary work will not be forgotten. We have not built Rome .... but you have shown us, where to start.

This modest trophy embodies our thoughts, admiration and unappeasable gratitude from all the club members, present and past.On behalf of all of us, I humbly present this Award to a Club Mentor, Club friend, from Speecom Toastmasters Club, DTM Fan Chen Keat.

- Out-going President Zahir Ahmad on behalf of TUTMC

The President wished the crowd well in their endeavours and slammed the gavel down one last time to adjourn it. That's a wrap for the Term.

Everyone left excited knowing they have somewhere to go, people to meet, duties to serve.
The journey continues.
Suffice to say they all lived happily ever after.

We know that because...

"Season Comes"

and.

"Season goes"
