The 13th meeting started on time(a good habit of ours) with the toastmasters attendance from Sunway University Toastmasters Club, INTI Toastmasters Club and Friendship Toastmasters Club. Azwan even played Breaking the Habit by Linkin Park which got the rest of us thinking of Subbra (member of Taylor's University Toastmasters Club) as that is his favorite band.
Then we have the usual Presidential Opening Speech
President Dylan gives his opening speech and ask all to say our name, where we are from and a habit of ours. |
Toastmasters of the Morning, Pravinan Lai, instigate (word of the day) the meeting by sharing how Toastmasters was formed to toastmasters and guests.
Table topics session
Wilson started of his table topic session by giving toastmasters and guests slips of paper and ask us to write down one of our bad habit on the paper.

Wilson Wong, Table Topic Master |
Ever sporting, Immediate Past President, Zahir volunteered as the the first table topic speaker. The first table topic rule was simple and yet-not. Zahir is suppose to pick a random paper from the pile of the habits written previously, guessed who does the habit belongs to and talk something about it.
The habit he got was biting nails. Zahir then asked to see our nails and after much thought, he guessed the owner of the habit and proceed to advise him.

Just as we thought that is how the rest of the table topics is going play out. Wilson surprise us yet again by giving us a set of table topic.
The second table topic speaker, Shu Hui, was given the topic speak as how a grandma speaks, advising your grandchildren.
Shu Hui in her "ah-ma" (mandarin for grandmother) tone
For the third table topic, Wilson needed a pair of volunteers which Desmond (INTI Toastmasters Club)and Ruben(Sunway University Toastmasters) volunteered to. The topic advise a friend of his/her habit. The first speaker is to advise his friend and the other speaker to finish of using the same topic. The habit their friend had was finishing an ice cream bottom-to-top.
Honestly, I have to applaud them for thinking of such a peculiar habit.
You could tell that Wilson regretting choosing this pair.
Desmond talking about a very perculiar bad habit that his friend has.
Ruben taking over from Desmond, advising this friend to try and eat ice cream the proper way. He gave the example of how people do not start a speech from conclusion to beginning.
The next volunteer , 4th table topic speaker was Azwan which table topic was that he is a politician holding a forum of discussion.
