Decisively No Theme Meeting - Joint Sunway - Taylor's University Toastmasters Meeting [2/5/2013]

It is the 20th Meet of the Term for TUTMC! And what's installed?

Our Club first Weekday Meeting!
(probably, can't remember any)

It was a Joint with Sunway University Toastmasters, and their bunch who were just as lively and rowdy as the Taylor's folks!

Word of he Day is to be decisive with the word Decisive.
Sunway University TMC don't usually have Meeting Themes, so we shall call it "Decisively No Theme" theme for OUR Club!

The Meeting was called to order by SAA Adeline Pui who was poised, she passed the control to President of Taylor's University TMC Zahir Ahmad, CC CL for the opening Address.

He stated how Sunway & Taylor's Toastmasters are relatively new (1 & 2 years old accordingly) but only now was both the Club collaborating openly. We should keep up the cooperative spirit!

Next the Toastmasters of the EVENING took control, and it was a First timer! Kelvin Teo, TM

You can't see everyone in the Pictures but Official head count is close to 40 in the room itself!

Camera View to the Left.

Camera View to the Right

From Taylor's University, current VPE Lee Seng Kiat is the Table Topic Evaluator and he got the strange pleasure to evaluate a family member of his!

Table Topic was amusing. What was the most (evil, strangest, loneliest) thing you ever did?

Table Topics Master Kent Phang, with Assistant Sharif Ahmad (Not sure what's there to assist though)

Non Toastmasters take the stage.

He looks happy.

Table Topics! Time where EVERYONE gives it a go.

Prepared Speech TIME.

5 Colorful Speeches saw
Deric,
Dicky,
Nurdina,
Ying Ying &
Azwan
deliver their project speeches with Finesse.

Nurdina's rendition of story-telling and facing her "Little Black Box".

After that thought-provoking session, there was a recess of 5 minutes where attendees miraculously gobbled down their RM10 Dinner. Then it was the evaluators turn to step up! (Didn't take photos though!)

Zahir Ahmad played General Evaluator and was happy to suggest some pointers to the Club where deemed useful.

Subbra played Grammarian. When asked to present his report he acted as an Auto-Correct to refine the poor language usage to good, and the good language usage to great!

Ah-Counter is played by Jiet Er who was relatively new but accomplish her job well.

Ily from Monash Uni TMC was the timer, and she made sure we run according to schedule and can go home to our families!

Prize Giving Session

Best Speaker was Ying Ying the Bolehland girl who hates Zebra brains!

Best Speech Evaluator is Wilson Wong!

Overall a well-organized and cheerful spectacle! The Meeting was closed by President of Sunway University TMC, Dr Nagiah Ramasamy who can't stop expressing the benefits Toastmasters bring to students and anybody who seeks to learn.

Next Sunway - Taylor's Joint Meeting will be on the 16th May 2013 @ Lakeside!

Are We Ready to WELCOME Sunway University to our Doors?
See you Thursday!
